ANCESTRAL MOTHER FIGURES
Beginning in 2019, I began creating a series of small sculptural figures that, over time, revealed themselves collectively to be called Ancestral Mother Figures. Through this process I am beginning to understand a cosmology containing and illuminating the archetypal relationships between myself and the ancestors who came before me, both in my physical bloodline, and metaphysically. They live as altar pieces — spiritual technology connecting me to myriad versions of myself, in realms that defy traditional space time.
