THIS LITTLE PIGGY

I used this illustration as an opportunity to use a pastel brush. I thought the greasy, streaky texture of pastels a fitting match for the greasy, streaky nature of the subject; your favorite and mine — bacon. Poor little piggy.

I’m so thrilled for the opportunity to get off a lifetime of one-liners, too, using this format. I have so many precise puns and wry, dry little jokes in my being. Why would I wait to be awarded first prize in the New Yorker cartoon caption contest, when I can create my own? First prize, every time.
